Welcome to the Edmondson Park community newsletter

Muddy family fun at the Ed Park community planting day

Last month, Landcom was joined by the community for our very first planting day – and we would like to thank you for making it a success! Green-minded locals picked up shovels and watering cans to kick off the revegetation of 2.9 hectares of land that was formerly a sewage treatment plant. It will form part of a total 29.5 hectares of bushland to be handed over to the National Parks and Wildlife Service to manage as a conservation area.

The community planted native species including Blueberry Lily and Kangaroo Grass on the day and enjoyed a tasty barbecue run by the 1st Ingleburn Scouts. Next, our partners at Eco Logical will revegetate the remaining land, sowing almost 35,000 plants and seeds across 22 native species.

Planning and construction updates

Precinct 3

Landcom has lodged a development application with Liverpool City Council for subdivision and civil works to enable delivery of homes on land north of Campbelltown Road and west of the Edmondson Park Town Centre. The application was exhibited in March and is now being assessed.

Town Centre North

Service installation in Town Centre North is progressing, with an expected completion date in mid-2023. Encompassing earthworks and installation of sewerage, potable water, recycled water and electricity infrastructure, these works will enable the future delivery of approximately 600 new homes that will be located close to public transport, jobs and local amenities.

Mont St Quentin Oval

Installation of play equipment is complete, and works are progressing on the amenities building, gardens and oval landscaping. Upcoming works include paving and construction of concrete paths, with an anticipated completion in mid-late 2023 (pending Council sign off).
