Sydney Metro Northwest Places Newsletter
April 2025

Welcome!

Dear Community member,

Keeping green for Earth Day

Earth Day is an annual event that unites the world in support of environmental protection. This year, on 22 April, we’re celebrating the local initiatives that continue to serve the sustainability of our area.

We’re proud to say that Norwest communities Kellyville and Bella Vista are rated 5-star communities by the Green Building Council of Australia. That means the area has received the tick of approval for demonstrating excellence in environmental sustainability, liveability, innovation, good governance and economic prosperity.

DaySchool holiday at Bella Vista Pocket Park

As the first term of 2025 comes to an end, so do our regular activities at Bella Vista Pocket Park. Over the school holidays, Live Life Get Active and Stage Door Dance Classes will be paused until school resumes on 28 April.

We look forward to welcoming you back then. Be sure to stop by the Pocket Park to enjoy it for yourself in the meantime!

Plus, you can keep your fitness journey on track during the break with Live Life Get Active’s blog – full of great health tips and easy 20-minute meals to try over the break.

How to keep on track

Celebrate Youth Week 2025 in The Hills

From 11 to 21 April, get involved in the Hill’s exciting free Youth Week activities like a Minecraft workshop, tote bag design, terrarium workshop, and a Family Fun Day. Youth Week is all about celebrating young people’s creativity, resilience, and contributions to the community. It’s your chance to connect, learn, and have fun with peers.

The celebrations also include a free screening of A Minecraft Movie, complete with free popcorn and a choc top ice cream. For more information and a full list of activities, visit the link below.
