Welcome!

Skate into 2025 at Bella Vista Pocket Park

Kick off the skate season with Totem Skate at our Learn to Skate workshop and special launch event! Join us from 10am on Saturday 1 March at Bella Vista Pocket Park for an epic day of skating, learning new skills, and connecting with the local skateboarding community.

If you miss a spot in one of the workshops, don’t stress – there’s plenty more happening on the day! Hang out, watch the free demos, and meet Totem Skate coaches, including Olympian Liv Lovelace, Nixon Osbourne, Felicity Turner and Gracie Earl. The Stage Door Espresso will also be open and selling refreshments.

It’s free, fun, and open to all skill levels – whether stepping on a board for the first time or looking to level up your tricks.

Celebrating the Hills Shire Community Group of the Year

Sydney Metro Northwest Places congratulates Bears of Hope, a Castle Hill-based organisation that provides essential support to families experiencing the devastating loss of a baby during pregnancy, birth, or infancy. Bears of Hope was recently awarded Community Group of the Year at the Hills Shire Australia Day awards.

Their compassionate services include fee-free counselling, support groups, community events, and hospital education sessions, ensuring no family faces their grief alone. Through their work, hospitals receive cuddle cots, resources, and their signature bears, offering comfort and connection to grieving families when they need it most.

We celebrate their dedication to providing hope, healing, and support to the Hills Shire community and beyond.
