Totem Skate workshops return to Bella Vista this August.

The wait is over – Totem Skateboarding is rolling back into Bella Vista Pocket Park on Saturday 2 August, and the talented team of coaches are bringing all the good vibes with them!

Skateboarding isn’t just about tricks – it builds confidence, improves balance, creates friendships, and leaves kids feeling absolutely awesome from head to toe.

Whether your little shredder is a first-timer or already working on their ollie, Totem’s super-friendly coaches will be right there, guiding them through every move in a safe, judgment-free zone.

Get in quick with your registration – these free workshops fill up faster than you can say “kickflip”!

*One free regular coffee per grandparent who is accompanying a child to the class on August 20 2025.

Calling all super - grandparents this August

Grandparents and grandchildren are invited to a special kids dance class on Wednesday 20 August. Bella Vista Pocket Park will come alive with superhero capes as The Stage Door Dance hosts Grandparents Superhero Week.

These free classes are a beautiful way for little ones to build confidence, share special moments with new friends, and groove to fun beats, all while celebrating their real-life heroes. No need for dance experience – just bring your best moves, your biggest smiles, and your favourite superhero outfit.

And because even superheroes need a pick-me-up, we’re treating each grandparent who brings their little hero to a free coffee from The Stage Door Espresso.

Cast your vote for Northwest Sydney local art!

The judges have spoken – our Sydney Metro Northwest Places public art program is a finalist for the Property Council of Australia’s Award for Best Public Art Project!

This recognition celebrates the network of vibrant artworks that have transformed our station precincts into cultural landmarks. Each piece tells a unique story: Maddison Gibbs’ “Caring for Country” at Cherrybrook honors Darugh traditions, while Nadia Hernández’s “Everything Comes Alive!” at Kellyville captures the colour and energy of our local markets.

These artworks weren’t created in isolation, they were born from conversations with locals, workshops with high school students, and collaborations with talented artists who understand what makes our Northwest community special.

The winners will be announced in September, but you can have your say too! The People’s Choice Award is decided by public vote – that’s you!

Curious about the stories and artists behind these works?
