Free activities return to Bella Vista  Pocket Park

Our fun and free Live Life Get Active fitness classes, plus our popular kids dance classes with Stage Door Performing Arts, are now back up and running for 2024. 

Meanwhile, our Totem Skateboarding Learn to Skate classes have opened registrations for their March workshop.

Celebrate Lunar New Year at Castle Hill

Welcome Lunar New Year 2024 with a wonderful celebration of Asian culture, food and activities at Castle Hill’s Arthur Whitling Park, on Saturday 24 February from 3pm to 9pm.

The Hills Shire Council Lantern Festival will mark the last day of Lunar New Year festivities with on-stage cultural performances, food stalls, free craft activities and face painting, underneath the glow of hundreds of lanterns. 

Located directly adjacent to the Castle Hill Metro Station, the event is an opportunity to commemorate this special cultural day alongside our proud Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Indonesian communities.

Help shape future open spaces in Bella Vista and Kellyville

If you’d like to have a say in planning the future open spaces surrounding the Bella Vista and Kellyville Metro Stations, community consultation is open until Friday 23 February. 

We want your help to plan spaces where the community can relax, exercise, play, be creative or meet with friends and family. 

Please register for our Bella Vista online community workshop or meet the project team at a drop-in session on Wednesday, 14 February, from 11am to 1pm at the Circa Shopping Centre, Bella Vista – or from 4pm to 6pm at the Kellyville Metro Station. 

Northwest Faces: Zoe Xuji Edema

This month we were thrilled to spend some time with Zoe Xuji Edema, one half of the dynamic sister and brother social art enterprise, Muralisto. 

Along with her sibling Xander, Zoe recently conceptualised, designed and painted over 100 metres of mural art on the hoardings surrounding our Bella Vista Pocket Park. 

“So many different people stopped to chat with us during the install – projects that bring art and culture to the area have such a big part to play in connecting people,” Zoe explained. 

Zoe and Xander’s mural, titled ‘The Golden Hour’, is now on display at Bella Vista Pocket Park. To find out more about Muralisto and the artwork, click the link below.
