A message of thanks

As 2023 comes to a close, we would like to say thank you to our many supporters in the Northwest Sydney community, and to those who have attended our events and classes throughout the year. We’ve welcomed nearly 1,400 people to Bella Vista Pocket Park in 2023, participating in over 160 activities.  

It’s certainly been a wonderful year of placemaking, and we look forward to bringing you a fresh and exciting program for 2024. Stay tuned to our website for all the details. 

Light up the festive season this December

Hills Shire Council’s Illuminate The Hills celebration is lighting up the Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Rose Garden in Baulkham Hills throughout December, with twinkling fairy lights, seasonal decorations and plenty more to get you in the festive spirit. 

Pop into the rose garden – located next to Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre on Roxborough Park Road – and enjoy the celebrations every night until 2 January, 2024.

Consulting on your future open spaces

We will soon be commencing consultation for future open spaces at Bella Vista and Kellyville, via an online survey. This survey aims to give us better understanding of what you value the most about open spaces in Northwest Sydney. 

Then, in early 2024, we will be consulting further with the community through a new interactive website, information sessions, pop-ups and workshops. Your input throughout this process will be invaluable in the creation of new open spaces.

Watch the mural fun at Bella Vista Pocket Park

Enjoy a recap of our recent Bella Vista community mural days, where locals joined interactive screen-printing sessions with the team from public art enterprise, Muralisto.

The community days, as well as workshops held with Glenwood High School students in September, are providing the inspiration for Muralisto’s new mural at Bella Vista Pocket Park, which is currently underway. 

We are looking forward to seeing Muralisto’s final reveal by the end of the year.
