Top tips for a healthy 2023

Nick Fowler, one of the friendly personal trainers from the wellbeing and exercise experts at Live Life Get Active (LLGA), shares his top five health and fitness tips:

  1. When setting your fitness goals, aim high, but start low, and incrementally build up your exercise regime.
  2. Work with a personal trainer who will help you achieve your fitness goals and ensure you get where you want to go.
  3. When training, remember form is key – in other words, make sure your exercise techniques and movements are correct, to avoid injury.
  4. If you’re exercising with kids, make it fun and engaging – so they almost don’t realise they’re exercising at all!
  5. Eat whole foods, practise portion control and be mindful that beverages such as soft drinks, alcohol, tea and coffee, and even sports drinks have lots of kilojoules!

And don’t forget, if you’re keen to kick start your fitness goals, sign up for one of LLGA’s FREE fitness classes at Bella Vista Pocket Park today!

As part of our Creative Connections program with Story Factory, we loved working with students from Crestwood and Glenwood High Schools to explore the idea of a changing place through time.

Focusing on Bella Vista and Kellyville, our largest station precincts, these interactive workshops gave students a chance to think about the history of the area, how they live and what message they’d like to leave for future generations – an idea at the heart of every Landcom project.

Northwest Faces: Meet Sharda Shukla

For this month’s Northwest Faces profile, we caught up with Sharda Shukla, Director at Principle9 Real Estate adjacent to Bella Vista Metro Station.

A resident of The Ponds for the last ten years, Sharda says there is nowhere else she’d rather be than The Hills. “I have been able to watch my kids grow up in this area, and The Hills has always provided everything we’ve needed. I also love that our office is located right next to the Metro, because I regularly get the chance to interact with a range of different people.”
