Welcome to the Edmondson Park community newsletter

Plans lodged with Council for new homes next to parkland

Landcom will soon lodge a development application with Liverpool City Council for subdivision and civil works to enable delivery of homes on land north of Campbelltown Road and west of the Edmondson Park town centre.

The proposed Precinct 3 development could include a mix of freestanding homes and terraces on tree-lined streets with easy access to nearby public open spaces and the Edmondson Park town centre.

Service installation in Town Centre North to support future development

Landcom will shortly commence works to prepare eight lots in the Town Centre North for subdivision, supporting the future delivery of approximately 600 new homes that will be located close to public transport, jobs and local amenities.

The new homes are likely to include a mix of apartments and terraces, and will be built on land east of Bezentin Ridge Road and north of Buchan Avenue.

The service works will be managed by TRN Group and include earthworks and installation of critical infrastructure including sewer, potable water, recycled water and electricity. Works are anticipated to take five months to complete, finishing around May 2023.

Some of the measures that we will take to mitigate the impacts of construction on our neighbours include:

  • installing security fencing with mesh to reduce the spread of dust
  • having one entry and exit point off Buchan Avenue for construction vehicles
  • maintaining consistent hours of work:
    - Monday to Friday, 7am – 8pm
    - Saturdays, 7am – 5pm
    - Sundays and public holidays – no work.

A site manager will be on duty during construction hours.

Bush regeneration underway for future regional park

We have commenced works to revegetate 2.5 hectares of land on Ardennes Avenue in Edmondson Park North before transferring it to the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service to manage as a local conservation area. Weed clearing began in mid-October, with more than 600 trees and 50,000 native grass seeds and tube stock planned to be planted between March and May next year.

Landcom will hold a free community planting event and barbeque in the April school holidays, giving locals and their little ones a chance to get their hands dirty and help nurture the regrowth of a local ecosystem.

Visit our website to register your interest in the event, which will run from 10am-midday on Saturday 15 April 2023.
